The meals section is where most Zaxby’s orders start and finish. Twelve builds sit here, and every one of them wraps a protein with crinkle fries, a slice or two of Texas toast and a small drink for a single price. The Big Zax Snak Meal opens the range at $8.99 with three Chicken Fingerz and Zax Sauce. The Chicken Finger Plate runs from $10.99 for four Fingerz up to $13.75 for six, and adds cole slaw that the Snak Meal leaves out.

Wings occupy the other half of the section. The Boneless Wings Meal matches the Snak Meal at $8.99 for five wings with ranch, and the Great 8 Boneless Wings Meal takes the count to eight for $9.99, which works out cheaper per wing than any other line on the board. Bone in wings cost more: the Traditional Wings Meal is $11.49 for five. The two Wings and Things meals, at $12.29 boneless and $13.49 traditional, put five wings and three Chicken Fingerz in the same box and land at the top of the price range.

Calories in this section run high because the fries, the toast and the drink all count. The Big Zax Snak Meal spans 960 to 1390 depending on which drink goes in the cup, and the Chicken Finger Plate reaches 2090 at the six finger end with a sweetened drink. Anyone watching the number should look at the sandwiches or the Zalads instead, where a grilled build starts under 500 calories.

Which Zaxby’s meal gives you the most food for the money

The Great 8 Boneless Wings Meal is the value pick in this section. Eight wings, fries, toast and a drink for $9.99 works out at roughly $1.25 per wing before the sides are counted, against $1.80 per wing on the five piece Boneless Wings Meal at $8.99. The extra dollar buys three more wings, which is the best marginal deal on the whole Zaxby’s board.

The Chicken Finger Plate follows the same logic. Four Fingerz at $10.99 comes to $2.75 each, while six at $13.75 drops to $2.29 each. Two people splitting a six finger plate eat more cheaply than two people buying separate Snak Meals, and the plate throws in cole slaw the Snak Meal does not carry.

Bone in wings never win on price here. The Traditional Wings Meal at $11.49 costs $2.50 more than the boneless version for the same count, and part of what you pay for is bone. That premium buys texture and the crisp skin that boneless wings cannot match, so it comes down to what you want rather than what you get.

What the dry rub meals changed

Three dry rub flavours joined the permanent menu in early 2026: Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parmesan and Nashville Hot. They sit on the Chicken Finger Plate at $12.19, the Traditional Wings Meal at $11.49 and the Wings and Things Meal at $11.99, and the rub replaces a wet sauce rather than adding to it.

A rub keeps the breading crisp in a way a tossed sauce does not, which matters on a takeout order that spends fifteen minutes in a bag. The Dry Rub Traditional Wings Meal prices identically to the standard Traditional Wings Meal, so there is no upcharge for choosing one. The Dry Rub Chicken Finger Plate at $12.19 does cost more than the plain four finger plate at $10.99, because the rub version ships with ranch alongside the cole slaw.

Sauced meals and what they cost

Two sauced meals sit at the end of the section. The Sauced Big Zax Snak Meal at $9.75 and the Sauced Chicken Finger Plate from $12.19 toss the Fingerz in a signature sauce rather than serving Zax Sauce on the side. The premium is about 75 cents to $1.20 over the unsauced version.

Zaxby’s does not publish calorie figures for the sauced meal builds, so those cells stay empty in the table below rather than carrying a guess. A rough sense of the difference comes from the sauces page, where each dip cup runs between 20 and 200 calories.

Zaxby’s Fingerz and Wings Meals Questions

What comes with a Zaxby’s meal?

Every meal in this section includes crinkle fries, Texas toast and a small drink. The Chicken Finger Plate adds cole slaw, and the wings meals add a cup of ranch.

Ordering the same protein outside the meal section drops the fries, toast and drink and takes several dollars off the price.

What is the cheapest Zaxby’s meal?

Two meals tie at $8.99: the Big Zax Snak Meal with three Chicken Fingerz, and the Boneless Wings Meal with five wings. Both include fries, toast and a small drink.

For a dollar more, the Great 8 Boneless Wings Meal at $9.99 gives eight wings instead of five, which is the better buy of the three.

What is the difference between the Big Zax Snak Meal and the Chicken Finger Plate?

The Snak Meal carries three Chicken Fingerz for $8.99. The Chicken Finger Plate starts at four Fingerz for $10.99 and goes up to six for $13.75.

The plate also includes cole slaw, which the Snak Meal does not. That side and the extra chicken account for the $2.00 gap at the entry level.

How many calories are in a Zaxby’s Chicken Finger Plate?

Between 1190 and 2090 calories. The lower end is a four finger plate with a zero calorie drink, and the upper end is a six finger plate with a sweetened one.

The fries and the Texas toast account for a large share of that total, so an order without the meal wrapper lands far lower.

Which Zaxby’s meal has the fewest calories?

The Boneless Wings Meal at 1010 calories on the low end, ahead of the Big Zax Snak Meal at 960 in its lightest configuration with an unsweetened drink.

Nothing in this section comes in under 900 calories. A grilled sandwich or a grilled Zalad is the lighter route through the Zaxby’s menu.

Do the dry rub meals cost more?

Not on the wings. The Dry Rub Traditional Wings Meal is $11.49, identical to the standard Traditional Wings Meal.

The Dry Rub Chicken Finger Plate at $12.19 sits above the standard four finger plate at $10.99, because the rub version comes with ranch on top of the cole slaw.

Can I get a Zaxby’s meal without the drink?

Restaurants will usually swap or drop the drink on request, though it rarely reduces the price. The meal is priced as a bundle.

To save real money, order the protein from the wings and Fingerz section and add only the sides you actually want.
